Registration via our online shop

Personal data

Personal data is information about factual or personal circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address, as well as all inventory data that you provide to us during registration and when creating your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our ICX online shop and that cannot be directly linked to your person are not included here. For example, these are statistics about which pages of our shop are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages of the Medentis shop.

Customer account

For each customer who registers accordingly, we set up password-protected direct access to his or her inventory data stored with us (customer account). Here you can view data about your completed, open and recently shipped orders and manage your data and newsletter. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make it accessible to any unauthorised third party. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.  Unless you log out, you will automatically remain logged in. This function allows you to use part of our services (e.g. ‘customer account’) without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, however, you will be asked to enter your password again if, for example, you want to change your personal data or place an order.

Collection, processing and use of your personal data

Data protection is very important to us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the legal provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act when collecting, processing and using your personal data. We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our services, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties or otherwise transferred if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or billing or if you have given your prior consent. In the context of order processing, for example, the service providers used by us (such as carriers, logistics companies, banks) receive the necessary data for order and order processing. The data passed on in this way may only be used by our service providers to fulfil their task. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not take place with any of the service providers entrusted by us.  For your order we need your correct name, address and payment details. We need your e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt of your order and communicate with you. We also use these for your identification (customer login). Furthermore, you will receive your order and shipping confirmation via your e-mail address.  Your personal data will be deleted if there are no legal obligations to retain it and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is not permitted for other legal reasons.

Use of your data for advertising purposes

Your personal data (company address, names of contact persons, if applicable) will be processed for the purpose of sending advertising material by post and informing you about our range of services and products. Furthermore, your data will be supplemented with publicly available socio-demographic data in order to enable an individual approach with tailor-made offers. The permissibility of the processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 f) DS-GVO (legitimate interest). The controller has a legitimate interest in carrying out direct marketing. In addition, there is a legitimate interest in making the advertising offer as individual as possible. The provision of your personal data is necessary for the dispatch of advertising material.  The transfer of data by the controller as well as the processing by the service provider is based on a contract processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 DS-GVO.


For sending the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have previously expressly confirmed that you want us to activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification email and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in this email.  If you do not wish to receive any more newsletters from us at a later date, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose. Of course you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter. The newsletter software used is Clever Elements ( is used. Your data will be transmitted to Clever Elements GmbH. Clever Elements is prohibited from selling your data and using it for purposes other than sending newsletters. Clever Elements is a German certified provider, which was selected according to the requirements of the German Data Protection Regulation and the German Data Protection Act.

Product recommendations by E-Mai

As a Medentis customer you will receive product recommendations from us by mail on an irregular basis. You will receive these product recommendations from us regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. In this way, we want to send you information about products from our range that may be of interest to you based on your recent purchases from us. In doing so, we strictly comply with the legal requirements.  If you do not wish to receive any more product recommendations or promotional messages from us, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand. Social plugins from the providers listed below are used on our websites. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo. Google AdWords

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers.
